The Airports Council International (ACI) World A-CDM course was successfully delivered in Muscat, Oman from 13-17 March 2022. The training aimed to prepare Oman Airports and its partners for A-CDM implementation in the coming years.
Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) strengthens the relationships between airport operators, airlines, ground handlers and air traffic controllers working together to improve decision making, thereby reducing delays and enhancing efficiency. The focus of A-CDM is for all airport partners to share information, so that each organization has a more complete operational picture, enabling the effective and timely resolution of changes or disruptions.
The training took place over five consecutive days at the Training Centre in Oman, at the premises of Muscat International Airport. It was conducted for Oman Airports internal staff.
Training Instructor and senior aviation consultant Eugène Tuinstra says: “The course demonstrated how A-CDM can achieve improvements in flow control and optimise capacity of runways, terminals, gates and airspace. We had an excellent turn-out in Muscat, and we’re really pleased with the interactions between the 22 participants and how well the training was received.”
